Welcome to GoodGym York 🙌
🏃♀️🏃We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. Every Monday evening we meet to get active and do a physical task to help the charities or community organisations in our city.
TONIGHT🌳 We’ll be heading to West Bank Park where teh council have ordered a skip to remove lots of material from the compost bins. There'll be lots of running back and forth with wheelbarrows and a lot of shovelling!
THE TASK ⚠️ Don’t forget your gloves for the task.
WHERE WE MEET 🎒 We meet at the Priory Street Centre and our usual room is the Foxwood Room. As you approach the front of the Centre, turn right and go to the car park area. The room we use is locked whilst we're out so you can leave your bits and bobs in there.
🚲There is cycle parking as you approach the Centre and a 10 bay pay and display car park and covered cycle parking to the left. In addition, on street parking is available on Priory Street.
RUNNING AND WALKING WITH US 👏GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities. If you prefer to walk let us know and we can arrange a walking group.
👍We always have a back-marker too so nobody will get left behind - no matter what your pace is.
POST-RUN SOCIAL 🍻We often head to The Ackhorne Pub on St Martin's Lane after our run for a spot of liquid refreshment and a good chat

This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Vicky Hearson (she/her) by email at vicky@goodgym.org.
The total distance of this group run is 4km.
Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.
We meet in the conference room of York CVS. The door to the conference rooms is around to the right of the main entrance and the Denham Room is the very first room on the right as you enter.
