For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
Welcome to WWF x GoodGym’s Workout for Nature
From 7th April WWF and GoodGym are collaborating on hundreds of sessions to celebrate Earth Day. Each session will involve a Workout for Nature - a physical volunteering activity which will benefit local green spaces, and give your own wellbeing a boost. Simply sign up below and come along. No experience required!
Wednesday night is GoodGym night in Maidenhead and this evening we are helping a new beneficiary at a new task location - Larchfield Community Centre/Desborough Park. Join in to help a new group that is aiming to improve biodiversity and launch community gardening in the area.
The task will involve gardening & ivy maintenance to help the group prep for planting. If anyone is trained for ladder work, there may be some ivy clearance from the guttering (sounds exciting!). The task owner, Helen, will be at hand to guide us and will have some tools for us to use. But if anyone is able to (safely) bring handy gardening tools, please do so.
This is a Community Mission so we will meet at the task location, Desborough Cres, Maidenhead SL6 4BB; what3words location: ///vows.polite.supper.
Some GoodGymers may also run, walk or cycle together to and from the task. Scroll up to the 'Getting there' part of this listing to see if anyone has added details of their active travel, and click let them know if you plan to join.
Can't wait to see you there!
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
The area you are working in may be in darkness which could cause a risk of trips or concealed hazards.
This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
