Workout for Nature with WWF
Welcome to WWF x GoodGym’s Workout for Nature. From 7th April WWF and GoodGym are collaborating on hundreds of sessions to celebrate Earth Day. Each session will involve a Workout for Nature - a physical volunteering activity which will benefit local green spaces, and give your own wellbeing a boost. Simply sign up below and come along. No experience required!
Surbiton Library is a beautiful building and we have regular visits here to tend to the planters. So far, we’ve got rid of the ivy which had gotten out of control in covid times and planted a beautiful array of plants to bring colour and diversity into the planters at the front of the building. This has made the outdoor space look much more appealing and this will hopefully bring more people in to use this important community space.
Our next task is to do a maintenance check and remove any weeds that have rooted themselves in the planters and to tidy up the weeds that inevitable grow in the cracks of the concrete around the building. There may be some litter that needs to be removed as well. Basically, a general tidy up!
This is an outdoor task so bring gardening gloves if you have them.
Meet at the Quaker Centre for a 2.7km run there and a 2.7km run back. If you need to meet us at the venue we should be there at 7pm and the address is Surbiton Library, Ewell Rd, Surbiton, KT6 6AG.

This is a GoodGym group run, with the option of walking too. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run or walk to the task together. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Rachel White by email at rachelwhite@goodgym.org.
