Welcome to WWF x GoodGym’s Workout for Nature. From 7th April WWF and GoodGym are collaborating on hundreds of sessions to celebrate Earth Day. Each session will involve a Workout for Nature - a physical volunteering activity which will benefit local green spaces, and give your own wellbeing a boost. Simply sign up below and come along. No experience required!
Welcome to GoodGym Lewisham!
We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every Monday evening to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations in our area.
The Task:
This week we are heading Ladywell Fields as there’s a big pile of mulch that needs relocating to protect the hedge saplings that have recently been planted. It’ll be a shorter run of around 3km in total.
The Run/walk:
GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities and it is sometimes possible to walk to the task if you would prefer. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together, so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.
The Essentials:
We meet at Glass Mill Leisure Centre at 6.45pm, so a short walk from Lewisham Station. We have access to lockers and changing facilities, so you could easily drop in on your way home (bring a pound coin or padlock if you want to use the lockers). Look out for the red t-shirts, we're very friendly! Every so often we head out after our run for some food and drink, a chance to get to know each other a bit better.
See you soon!
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym group run. You'll meet other GoodGymers at the start location and run to the task together. If you can't run for more than 15 minutes without stopping or you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact your area activator Kim by email at kimparker@goodgym.org.
The total distance of this group run is 3km.
Remember that we will be running to and from the task, so you'll only be running for half this distance in one go.

There's space to change and leave bags and toilets. We're not planning to do anything purposefully dangerous, but GoodGym takes no responsibility for your safety during group runs, you participate at your own risk. Participants accept full responsibility for items stored at Glass Mill Leisure Centre, and Glass Mill Leisure Centre and GoodGym will not be held liable for any losses or damages.
