For this session we're going to meet at the task, so you'll need to make your own way there. We encourage you to walk, run, or cycle to do so!
GoodGym Richmond have just planted a lot of young plants in The Three Pigeons Plot and around some of the benches nearby. They need watering to get them through the hot weather and get established.
If you can spare 20mins+ to water, you'll find watering cans to the left of the brick Arcade, next to the compost heap. The session is listed for 6pm but can be done at any time. There are other similar watering sessions listed for other day. This a self-led session. There will be no leader present.
Water has to be drawn from the Thames at the bottom of the steps by the Three Pigeons Plot. please be careful at the bottom of the steps as it can get slippy and ensure you wash or sanitise your hands after watering ( there is a public toilet at Eileen's cafe which is just a bit further along Buccleuch Gardens).
The new planting has been marked with little flags (scraps of florescent green fabric attached to bamboo stakes).
The entrance to Buccleuch Gardens, on the Thames Path, is off the Petersham Road directly opposite the Petersham Road Entrance to Terrace Gardens. The 'Three Pigeons Plot' with it's Insect Hotel is here and The Arcade is about 200m along the Thames path in the Petersham/Ham/Kingston direction.
Make sure you've read our general guidelines for safety for taking part in a GoodGym session.
This is a GoodGym community mission. When we're doing a community mission we make our own way to the task, so you can choose to walk, run, or cycle. Thinking of cycling - check out our FAQs
