We are a friendly group who meet twice a week to help out community projects and older people in Richmond.
On Monday evenings we have our group run, meeting in Richmond town centre and jogging to our task location. Runs are between 2km and 5km each way and all paces are welcome. Many people start running with GoodGym for the first time so you don't have to be a seasoned runner. Some walk or cycle to tasks too.
On Saturday morning we have our Community Missions. We meet at the task and use all that GoodGym energy to help local groups and charities.
From hanging curtains for Mr H because he can't manage it on his own, to shovelling a tonne of compost for the Food Growers Group so they can grow vegetables - every GoodGym session is different.
The area activator for Richmond is Liz (She/her).
Movement, giving back, socialising, organising and spreading positivity. These things make me feel good and GoodGym has them all!
Area activators support the growth of GoodGym, are passionate about fitness and community, and are here to help us do more.
These brilliant GoodGymers make up the Richmond TaskForce.
The TaskForce supports the operation of GoodGym in Richmond. They manage social media accounts, support new GoodGymers and organise sessions.
GoodGym Richmond group runs are led by these fantastic volunteer run leaders.
GoodGym run leaders have completed the England Athletics Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) training.
