38 The number of runners who turned up at the BAC for a fun, tough Monday night run. We welcomed the wonderful new members of our group – hello Sophia, Anna, Rachael, Tina, Beth, Jake, and Helen, you sporting legends.

90 Is how far both Luke and Jack have run this month, topping the Wandsworth hero board. Keep on running, distance warriors!

8 The frankly jaw-dropping number of good deeds that David M has done so far this month. You are a do-gooding trooper, David. Don’t stop making other people’s lives better.

199 Who can believe that Matthew has cheered other people almost 200 times? That’s what keeps us all going! Throw a cheer his way to say thanks 

6 The number of pubs on our Wandsworth pub crawl this Saturday. There will be running, there will be fun, there will be pubs, and there will be neon. And, as a special bonus, there will be Dave’s short shorts. You’d be crazy to miss it! We’re meeting at the Prince of Wales pub at 7pm this Saturday, see you there fitties.

2 It was a baby run this week, with only 2k to run to our lovely community task. The Doddington & Rollo community garden is a beautiful rooftop space where local residents who don’t have access to a garden can come and grow their own plants.

80 Our job was to shift no fewer than EIGHTY 40 litre bags of compost from downstairs up to the rooftop garden. That is a colossal 3200 litres of compost, and is was completed in a muscle-busting 20 minutes. This is a job that would have taken the volunteers a day to do, but such is the power of GoodGym that we were able to finish the job that evening. Human chains are clearly the way forward! Sorry about your lovely clean kit though everyone.

7 The number of different ABC (agility, balance and coordination) drills we smashed out after jogging to Battersea Park. They included heel walks, toe walks, walking lunges, high knee skips, grapevines, hopscotch and….the beautifully executed yet torturous bear crawls. Nailing our ABCs is essential for progressing our running, both for form and fitness. We’ll be working on these in the weeks to come.

1-2-1 Oooh pyramid intervals. They hurt! They really hurt. But that’s what makes us stronger runners. With one minute of hard running, followed by one minute of recovery jogging, two minutes of hard running, then one minute off, finishing with one minute of hard running - this was not for the fainthearted. It works all three energy systems, improves endurance and sky-rockets fitness levels.

8 ½ The time we got back to the BAC, sweaty, happy, tired. We spent the evening making Wandsworth a better place, as well as getting fitter and faster. What could be better? Well, a quick drink at the bar was the cherry on the cake.

1 AMAZING black tshirt from a truly wonderful group of people. Thank you, you are superstars one and all. Thanks for making Monday nights so brilliant.
