Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
WE'RE FLIERING WITHOUT WINGS..
.. And earning our GoodGym good deed wings.
Tonight's task for the terrific ten runners was to distribute 300 fliers to inform Bath businesses and residents of the Ted's Big Bake Off initiative to raise funds for the RUH.
A very warm welcome to Mark who demonstrated his sprint skills early on in an impromptu 'beat the back marker challenge'! Great to see Steve return for his second GoodGym Group Run and donning red whilst he awaits his official club t-shirt.
Incredibly we nailed the head count with everyone able to recall their own name and number, no mean feat for GoodGym Bath branch!
After thunder bolts and lightening (very very frightening!) and torrential downpours this afternoon we managed a dry but muggy run through the city.
We fliered the streets of shops and around the iconic circus stopping for reps galore of squats and leg strengthening walking lunges.
A few of us had a close encounter of the wildlife kind when two roe deers* ran past us in a residential area (thanks to Mary for providing their proper label, when she asked me what type they were my townie taxonomy system kicked in and I said 'small ones'!)
Once we'd delivered all the fliers and the hill climbs were done it was time to work the legs with more squats then enjoy the descents.
In honour of the special announcement of a partnership between GoodGym and Park Run at the weekend we voted to run the home stretch through Victoria Park.
We got back to base in good time to cool down, no time needed to deliberate puns as thanks to Joe tonights was suggested and agreed whilst still on the run.
Thanks Steph for a great workout and to everyone for coming and smashing it!!
If you want to be paired up with a run coach or be available for missions please bring your ID to the next run to start the DBS checks
Don't forget to sign up for next weeks group run https://www.goodgym.org/happenings/how-does-your-garden-grow-3602d369-e912-486a-8005-a39c17b72584 Thanks to the lovely Pascale for back marking and writhing tonight's run report .. Amazing people all of you
