Did you know there are only seven more GoodGym Wandsworth runs of 2017. How can it be? We have to make the most of them - and with a huge task and an even huger fitness session, we sure did that last night.

Well done to all the GoodGymers who smashed the Great South at the weekend, and also to those who managed a park run. Racing is a brilliant way to improve your times, endurance and give you something to aim for so if you're looking for the right challenge for you, just let me know.

We had three great new runners last, hooray! Give Leanne, Emily and Jenny a huge GG cheer.

We started off with a warm up and a quick poll to see what we'd buy if we had all the money in the world. Holidays, boats, a vineyard, ending world hunger, all the sausage dogs in the world, unlimited physio and even a haircut were all on our wishlists.

Tonight's task was to spread the word for the incredible Rainbow Trust's fundraising event, the Firewalk. The Rainbow Trust is a charity which supports seriously ill children and their families, so if you fancy walking over hot coals in November for this amazing organisation, then check out the event!

We consider ourselves pros at leafleting in Wandsworth these days with a few different sessions under our belt. Last night we got it down to a fine art, splitting the group in two and taking each side of the street in a human chain. It worked like clockwork, and before long we had distributed almost 400 Rainbow Trust leaflets. Along the way we broke up the running with a series of star jumps, a wall sit mexican wave , lunges, and we almost lost Judith to a particularly fine cat.

With an empty-handed run to Battersea Park, stopping only to admire/be terrified of the fireworks being let off from somewhere a bit too close, we ended up at the bandstand in the middle of the park to take on a set of circuits. There were ten stations, including one gentleman's/lady's choice, all of 45 seconds each. If that wasn't enough, we made a huge ring on the grass and selected various people to choose our exercise - there was shadow boxing, side planks, jumping jordans and lot more besides. We finished off the night with a mammoth relay which in a joyful embodiment of GoodGym spirit saw Team Winning and Team Grinning cross the line at exactly the same moment.

For the last leg, we split the group. And with the speedy team taking a slightly different route, and the sexy group finishing off with a hill sprint, we all arrived back at our starting point and finished the run in lovely GoodGym Wandsworth style. .

Next week we've got our Halloween run - all costumes welcome - a fiendish fitness session and spooky social at the bar afterwards.
