Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
29 Lambeth runners garden all over Lambeth and we say so long -but not farewell - to the mighty Coxy
It's a sad week for Lambeth as we say goodbye to our wonderful trainer of the last 2 years, Coxy. She has sworn, shouted and inappropriately talked her way to victory and we are sad to see her go. Lucky for us, she will come back once a month to continue to kick our asses and keep us fit and fast at this running game.
'Rebecca we have enjoyed you making us do an unbelievable amount of burpees so we are really sore the next day!' Said everyone.
We won't write what Rebecca said.
We had two runs this week, a short 1 miler to finish filling some raised beds with lots of soil at Marcus Lipton Youth Centre. The soil was wet and hard to lift but in true GoodGym style, we emptied four sack loads before running back to base.
The second group of 15 raced nearly 3 miles each way to Battersea for a new task connected to Christ Church Primary School. They've set up a Secret Garden for the kids to learn about plants and growing, and needed to shift some stuff that was too heavy for small people. Luckily some GoodGym muscle came to the rescue and even had a race along Clapham Common on the way home.
To see Rebecca off in style, we have some suggestive gardening snaps for you all. You're welcome!
