Kennington Park Road TRAFor this group run we'll be helping out at a small block in Kennington Park Road, helping the residents with their community garden. We'll be setting off at 6:45 to run 5k there. We'll have two running groups, depending on whether you'd like to go fast, or take it easy.
Once we get to the gardens, we'll be doing a range of tasks:
- shifting soil from the front garden to the back garden
- move soil into planters
- general gardening and tidying
New to GoodGym Southwark?
It can be daunting coming to your first group run but we are a nice welcoming bunch! All abilities welcome, whether you're a new runner or have been running for years.
Important Information
We meet at Old Spike Cafe in Peckham from 18:30 for a 18:45 start. You can leave bags in the cafe and use their toilets before we head out if you need to. If meeting at the task, be there for 19:15. The address is 67-73 Kennington Park Road, SE11 4JQ.
After a warm-up, we'll run as two groups. On this run, we will be running 5km to 67-73 Kennington Park Road. We will spend 45 minutes doing the tasks then run 5km back to Peckham (back by 20:30 latest). If 5k is enough running for you then there is also an option of taking a bus or train back to Peckham.
Bring gardening gloves if you have them.
