32 Runners did circuits, sprints, long runs, and heavy metal
A cracking turnout of 32 Goodgymmers on a beautifully sunny Lambeth evening included a sizeable number of new runners - and boy, what a week they picked to turn up.
Led by James and Tom, the first group made the long trek over to the Portico Gallery in West Norwood, where they shifted tables. Probably. Actually they shifted a lot of big metal things, proper sturdy doodahs that required a bit of elbow grease. A solid workout was had before the equally long, but slightly easier downhill route back.
The second group followed Robbie and George over to Clapham Common, where George delighted in putting them through a grizzly pyrmaid set of push ups, star jumps, squats and sprints. On an evening-pootle-to-effing-brutal scale, it was definitely a strong six.
"I'm going to hit you in a minute" Robbie, on being told he wasn't putting enough effort in during circuits
A few timed laps on the large pond were also completed, much to the bemusement of a few passers by, before George relented and allowed the group to jog back for a warm down. There were even some smiles at the end.
