Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
I thought we'd made it through the winter.. We've been meeting in the dark for the last 6 months and despite losing an hour in bed on Sunday I kept my chin up knowing we would be rewarded with a lovely light summer's evening to meet. This did not happen. It rained. A lot. In fact the most it's rained in any task I've done in almost two years. Despite this though (and I HATE rain) I had a great night. You guys blitzed the task and also my post Easter blues, turning this rainy Tuesday from a 4 to a solid 8. BRAVO!
There were some lovely new runners this week too… Sarah, Patricia, Isabel and Ursula.. Thank you so much for braving the rain to do your first GG task we hope you enjoyed your first GoodGym and we'll see you again soon.
We didn't have to run far as tonight's task was at Stockwell Park Estate, a mere 800 meters from Papa's Park.
Then we made up for the short run by doing a shed load of digging, wheelbarrowing, lifting and forking… a pretty decent (and muddy work out) and don't even get me started on the chasing the van… I want to make that a weekly thing.
So you might be a bit muddy and probably very wet, but please know that you made a huge difference..Naomi would have had to do that all by herself if it wasn’t for us. She was very very grateful and so I am.
Enjoy the rest of your weeks.. A longer run next week to West Norwood if you fancy getting some miles in (5 to be precise).
See you all soon x
