Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
25 GoodGymmers split up to run 1.5 miles each way, half going to Ruskin park to weed and compost, and half going to Holland Town Estate to weed, litter pick and water.
It had been a tumultuous day weather-wise with wall to wall sunshine turning into heavy thunderstorms. Luckily for us it had cleared by the time we got to Papas and we were ready for a sunny, muggy GoodGym.
Half of us went to Ruskin Park where we met Paula to fork, shovel and weed a couple of errant flower beds that had become overgrown after all the topsy turvy weather we have been having. After weeding for half an hour we did a quick blast of prison squats and sprint intervals to get us fully tired before heading on back to Brixton.

In Holland Town Estate we got rid of some bind weed, went litter picking and watered some of the fruit trees, which apparently hadn't got enough earlier in the day! Holland Town was looking lovely by the time we left..
"The bind weed was a real bugger" said Sarah
After we got back then the only thing to do on such a warm evening was obvious - off to the massive beer garden at the Duke of Edinburgh for a 'cheeky half' - or was it 5?
