21 Hackney GoodGymers ran 6k to Core CIC painted our way to success then refuelled well as the monthly social.

Bit of celebrating for was in the air this week with Tom's 21stish Birthday and all the Springs marathon glory fuelling post run social.

On Ros's request we have officially changed the head count to Number then Name. Although this is highly controversial, Rod is confident it is the way forward so we are going for it!! Get Practising!!

We started with a strong 3k run to Core CIC and found there was still loads to do on the project to refurbish a old building into a Pain management clinic and community hub.

Cracking on with high and low painting on coving, walls with newly mixed paint as well as pulling up tacks and moving huge amounts of wood!

Everyone got stuck into their task, conquering fears of heights on the way. Great balance and control was shown on the platforms while painting away. We got loads done in an excellent 45 minutes of action and hopefully next time we are back it will be for snagging and looking around the finished clinic.

A speedy 3k return run finished off the evening before we enjoyed some very social refuelling at the monthly social.

See you all again next week for a trip to Hackney Wick community garden.
