The willing participants for the training sessions in Highbury was Orla representing Westminister and Kat who rode her bike from Tower Hamlets. These 2 are also looking to take part in the Goodgym Spartan Race that will happening on the 4th and 5th of May. The session started with a warm-up up run up the straight Highbury path to get the body warmed up and the heart rate slowly raised. This includes sprints, start jumps, bum flicks and some dynamic stretches.

This bootcamp was a AMRAP (As many reps as possible) workout. We spent a minimum of 1 minute on each exercise with a maximum of 1 minute for a break after 5 exercises. The exercises that we did were:

-Mountain Climbers -Single legged Glute Bridges -Leg Raises -Leg Tuck/Rows -Leg Circles -Scissor Kicks -Single leg dead lifts -Plank -Squats -Lunges -Jump Squats -Wall Sit -Bench Press-ups -Ground Press-ups -Dips -Jog -Burbees

The routine seems to be challenging enough to keep the Kat and Orla focused. They did well for the first session and hopefully they can be able to reach their fitness goals this year. We ended the session a Suicide drill that ended up with them doing lunges for 50 meters for the last lap.

The next fitness session will be next week Saturday at Tower Hamlets Community Mission .
