Who this task will support
The Salvation Army
Salvation Army church offering a community pantry to provide a wide choice of food to the low-income families and individuals it supports. The community pantry opens every Friday and operates on a membership basis. For a small fee members get to choose three higher priced items (e.g meat and dairy), seven lower priced items (fruit, veg, toiletries, household cleaning products) and five free items from a selection of books, crafts, clothes, and crockery. The kitchen at the church also offers a hot meal to anyone who comes to the pantry. Other weekly activity includes a weekly knit and natter group and a coffee morning.

The Salvation Army have asked us to help paint stencils on the walls of their pantry to make it brighter and more welcoming. The pantry offers food provisions and hot meals to members of the local community who need them.

The stencils will be already taped to the walls so we can do the fun bit of applying the paints. 🖌🎨

This unusual and arty task sounds just up our street and refreshments will even be provided, so this promises to be a good evening.

There's no experience required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in. Sign up and join us.

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 2km and 6km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
