Anne was surprised to meet James in Woking park. He had not signed up to help this morning as he needed a rest after all his runs and volunteering during the week.

However, soon I discovered that James was a the hero of the day. The junior parkrun director's key did not open the padlock of the pavilion (where all the equipment is stored). It appeared that the council had changed the padlock, but forgot to keep juniorparkrun informed.

James has, on several occasions, organised for GG Woking to spread mulch in the woods to facilitate the weekly parkrun. Thanks to this involvement with the council as a GoodGymer, he was, then, given a "good" key. When the RD messaged James for help, he did not hesitate to run and help!

All in all, we are very lucky to have James on board!

We marshalled for this week's junior parkrun, cheering all 119 children who ran/walked the loops.

Next week, we will meet on Thursday (not Wednesday) at the Leisure Centre from where we will run to the Food Bank to do our monthly deep clean.

Happy running to you all.
