It was a lovely re-visit to Bath City Farm for 4 Goodgymmers, having last helped out in the depths of lockdown earlier in the year. The whole farm was in beautiful bloom and it was a warm, quiet evening to enjoy the views back over Bath and its hot air balloons. First off we scrubbed and scraped muck and paint off big metal sheds, ready for a fresh coat of paint in the summer holidays. Then we cleared out a pig sty ready for a makeover and a new inhabitant, before a bit of hard work clearing grass on some long steps, helped out by a hungry donkey called Dougal. We were lucky enough to finish off the evening by feeding and cuddling baby goat Lydia (and batting away some cheeky older goats too). Jane got a long hug from Lydia, while Jer fed all of them some delicious hedge trimmings, and Alice and Max made some new goaty friends. A lovely evenings work and we can't wait to be back again next month!

Bath City Farm was set up by the local community in the early 1990s, when the resident farmer retired. It gained charitable status in 1995. Over the past 17 years there has been considerable progress on site, including introducing our Soay sheep, goats, chickens, ducks and pigs, a pony and most recently a flock of guinea fowl
