Woking Junior Park Run #172

This morning 5 GG Woking members helped out at Woking Junior Park Run. James, Wayne, Victoria, Rich, & Anne as well well as Sumah who was carrying out her volunteering duties for her DofE carried out various roles around the 2k course on this sunny morning.

Victoria & Rich were race directors today with Wayne & Sumah as tail walkers, Anne was at one of the check points cheering everyone on while James was carrying out multiple role like course checker as well as Marshal.

This morning 99 runners took part and it was a day of records.

The course record was smashed today by the amazing Katie Pye coming in at 6m 34s as well as 32 PB’s everyone was amazing with all putting in maximum effort. 👏🏻

Next Week there are four tasks!

Wednesday we will be at Brockhill Care Home carrying out gardening and painting duties. Meet at WWF for a social run there.

Thursday we will be at Woking Park assisting a local running club (No Sweat Running Community) with their couch to 5K programme, assisting and supporting the local community getting into running. It would be great to see volunteers there. 🏃🏼‍♂️

Saturday we will be at Woking Parkrun for the Jubilee.

Sunday we are back at Junior Parkrun.
