This mission involved slightly more challenges than originally anticipated when signing up and setting off. First of all, there was the obstacle course of wind-strewn debris littering the streets. Then, having arrived safely, we had to clarify the correct house number without waking up too many of the neighbours on a Sunday morning. Accessing the correct part of the building also proved a little too much for us in the wake of the address confusion but we took it all in our stride, including all the unnecessary extra flights of stairs and finally located Mr I and his TV which had mysteriously stopped connecting to Freeview.

The task itself was a relative breeze, thanks to tech-wizard Patrick being on hand to work it all out and know his HDMIs from his opticals and his Bluetooth from his infrared. (Note to self, think carefully about your skills set, not just the postcode, when accepting a mission…) In no time at all, we had identified the rogue cable which has escaped its socket and got it all plugged in correctly again. We then ran a volume control test and Patrick gave Mr I a quick tutorial in switching audio output so he could use his headphones and not disturb the neighbours with his TV-watching.

Our help was well received and we headed back out into the headwind.
