On a gorgeous sunny Sunday, two GoodGym-ers met opposite the Queen Elizabeth Hospital to help the Friends of Woolwich Common with their monthly community litter pick.

Group numbers were down slightly on usual, probably because the bank holiday meant lots of people have taken the opportunity to go away, but that didn't deter us! FoWC kindly supplied us with everything we needed including bin bags and pickers, and once we were fully kitted up we headed off along one of the footpaths.

Fortunately there wasn't as much litter to be found as on our previous visits - after an hour, myself and Lynne had only filled up half a bin bag each. Although we did find the usual selection of rubbish including crisp wrappers, drinks cans, face masks and coffee cups. With our relatively light bags, we headed back to the meeting point to return our borrowed kit and say our goodbyes.

Note: This is a recurring task on the last Sunday of every month at 11am, so do come along if you are free the next time around!
