We were a small but mighty group in Hounslow last night - we still managed to run 5k and fill three bin bags full of rubbish.

A litter bit of good
After our warm up, where, while we got our heart rates up, we discussed the best thing to spread on your toast. Nutella, strawberry jam, and marmite were all popular, while Andy was very clear about the purity of just butter.
We set off on our run down to meet the head of a residents' association near Acton. This group has been having a litter problem on their streets, so we picked up a set of litter pickers, bags and gloves, and got cracking.
With Andy and Luis taking one side of the street, Remy and Jen tackled the other and both teams were dismayed at the number of plastic bottles, fizzy drink cans and ciggie butts. 40 minutes later, our bags were brimming and we returned them and the tools back to a grateful Elisabeth.
We took it a bit quicker on the way back, and even though we were a bit pushed for time hardcore Hounslow opted for a fitness session. We focused on conditioning, featuring press ups, squats, sprints, heel lifts, tricep dips and finished off with our weekly plank minute.
Next week it's a biggie! Not only is it Halloween, but it's our second birthday...so sign up here for a Night of the Living Red (tshirts)....
