These are the types of tasks we like...so it didn't take a lot to convince the team to sign up. The task was to make food hampers for the Slough Outreach project for all the famiiies they serve.
We said to Nisha -
yule be sorry if you dont come along to this task
So she put her best resting grinch face on and told her boss that she had a very important community task that needed her and low and behold...she got the hour off to come and help us..
Christmas has us feeling extra santa-mental so we were in full festive gear....I say we...but someone missed the memo (Harsha)! our rebel without a claus.
It was great to have Agnija join us on her first community mission.
As Sut and I have been elfing every Monday with the food parcels task we had a fair i-deer of what needed doing, so we gave everyone a workstation to work from and got them busy wrapping boxes like little elfs.
Chief Elf (me) (because I had the elf hat) restocked all the food supplies we were going to put into the hampers, whilst Sut dasher'd around cutting boxes, taping boxes and dishing boxes out to everyone to wrap.
It was lovely to have Roisin back with us. Not sure why we put her in the naughty corner, maybe shes got to do more good deeds before she comes off the list?
Super Pam came with her homemade crochet santa hat (she got the memo!), and as always got her head down and cracked on with the task...snow thank you as always Pam.
All in all we wrapped, cellophaned and filled 48 boxes!
It's a wrap! Until next week.
Shin needs another 50 boxes to be made up on Tuesday so if you are free at 9am please sign up.
