Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Clare C
This evening Nicky & I went to put up some curtains for Mrs J.
Mrs J had some beautifully intricate white lace curtains in her living room; she told us that she usually washes them monthly but it’s been a while since she has been able to get them down. She was feeling unhappy with how her living room looked.
Our first task was to remove the previous curtain, which was more of a job than initially anticipated! It turned out that the person who had come to fix the curtains before had screwed the curtain rod to the wall. Thankfully Mrs J had a screwdriver and the problem was quickly solved.
Next, we cleaned the windows and the frames which had yellowed over time. Mrs J had a ‘turbo scrub’ but GoodGym training seems to be doing us the world of good as we found that with some old fashioned elbow grease, the windows were gleaming in no time.
With the cleaning done, we replaced the lace curtain with a freshly washed one. It definitely gave the room a fresh feel and brightened up Mrs J’s living area!
