The fab four on the morning shift were Judy, Paul, Katie C-R & John. John started the day on the main entrance to the clinic ensuring only patients with mobility issues gain entrance to the car park. He was thankfully relieved at 8 AM and took up duty in the main car park.
Katie, Paul & Judy took up positions at the church with Paul manning the entrance. Katie displayed her excellent walkie talkie skills from the waiting area and ensured a good flow of patients from church to the clinic was maintained. Judy took up position at the back door of the church and provided safe passage for patients to the back door of the clinic.
The day seemed to start off quite slow but that soon changed and at one point we even had 11 patients in the church with more waiting outside. These were expertly dealt with and celebrations could be heard on the walkie talkie each time the church became empty. Judy did not waste the opportunity during the quieter periods and even managed a quick sit down. An idea that may be borrowed by others!
It was a bit warmer than the previous day and by 11:30 the sun made a welcome appearance. The time seemed to pass quite quickly and before we knew it we were being relieved by the afternoon team of Jo K, Katie L, Eli & Kat.
