Report written by Brahma Pochee
Some contrast to the week before, a warm spring evening over in Stratford, well attended by the SPFC (Sharon Prince Fan Club). New warm up spot was used, away from the pub, lunges were lunged and knees went high. We spoke about who our favourite Prince was, turns out predominantly from a gene pool in Newham, obviously.
On route to CD, we micro-dosed on power and speed, with 13 jumps and 4 sprints in homage to the birthday girl, however it turns out her birthday is today, so find a box and get that extra jump in please. The sprints were contested well, with Si and G giving each other something to think about, Rosa and Hilary had a nice little tussle too. After that excitement was over and we had basically reached.
Our eccentric host, Basia, gave explicit animated directions laced with her own comedic delivery. We watered trees, bushes, flowers, vegetables and more. On the other side of the dock some kind of sapling audit was undertook, Rosa - the clipboard understudy, desperately vying for possession of pen and paper, worked in tandem with Hils, proving her counting capabilities and ready for her shot on the board....whenever it comes.
Superb evening and great to have a big section of our core back together, more of that.
Next week we head to Newham Hospital to spruce up their sensory garden for patients, sign up here if you want to save lives via horticultural healing.
Have a fab long weekend in the sun, good luck to the 10k and HM competitors - let's have it.
Till next week
