Back to the fuchsia
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Sunday, 3rd of September 2017
On a rainy day we arrived at Mr and Mrs W's house with a warm greeting. Goodgym had recently been to their house to help with her lawn and hedge which still looked very smart.
The fuchsia in the front garden was blocking a lot of the sunlight from the front room so they wanted it cutting back. We got straight to work and with a quick snip snip, little bit off the top and side (feeling like barbers) we had it under control. We finished by using the "fun" wheelbarrow to take the prunings to the back and threw them off over the fence (as per Mrs W's instruction).
Mrs W was very impressed with our work and said it had made such a difference for her to be able to look out the window now. She compared Goodgym helping with her garden to winning the lottery! We ate our seals and cake kindly provided by Mrs W and ran away.
