SESSION ORGANISER

Report written by JP
Having started the big task of clearing Mrs H's tree/bush last week, Luis and I decided to follow up with a new appointment to try and get the job done. We arranged to go back to Mrs H's house and went there fully braced for a big second part of the mission.
Having collected a coffee on the way, we met outside Mrs H's house in Hounslow. She was delighted to see us again and opened the side gate for us to wheel our bikes round. Then it was gloves on and loppers and bags out, as we started to tackle the huge pile of branches we had created the last time we were there.
First though, we had to move a load of rotten fence posts and slats on top of the pile, which were the result of Mrs H having her dilapidated fence replaced with a nice new one. This done, we divided and conquered - initially JP divided the branches into smaller pieces and Luis conquered them by slamming them into the big brown bin and then large refuse sacks Mrs H had provided... and then we swapped round. Luis also tackled the stump of branches with the saw and made excellent progress - although finishing that off will be a job for a chainsaw.
After an hour we stopped for some light refreshments and were amused to find some very suspicious looking biscuits had been provided along with the sweetest cup of tea imaginable. Luis got stuck into the biscuits while JP said he'd wait for lunch...
After a short pause we got back to the task and managed to get everything into bags and ready for collection. Mrs H was extremely happy and we felt satisfied to have got the job done.
