Having been away from the Social Supermarket for a couple of weeks I was amazed by the changes that have taken place recently. All the donations in the gym and pantry are now sorted into piles of similar items and the garden project outside is looking fantastic. All the other Goodgymers and volunteers have obviously been working very hard over the past few weeks.

This week I was set to work dividing up boxes of burgers into bags that had been donated by McDonalds, 1,600 of them to be precise. There were also baps a plenty (aka batches in Coventry slang) and Big Mac sauce for this week's bags - what a treat! As well as all the usual fresh produce and healthy fruit and veg of course! Next there was box flattening, egg box cutting and packing to be done, as well as carrying of bags out to cars for deliveries. Henry hoover and I got a final workout vacuuming the entire building, a good 90 minute workout (although my back didn't thank me for it!)

Another 50+ families in Coventry provided for after today's work - a job well done by all.
