We arrived early at the William Hobbayne Community Gardens for a special unveiling! Over a number of sessions, we've been helping to prepare three beds that will enable local children to learn about plants and growing vegetables. Tonight the beds were finally finished and our GoodGym Ealing Area Activator, Harvey, was honoured to be one of three local people cutting the ribbons! Two of the beds are named after long standing members of the local community who have contributed so much over the years. The third recognises the recent Queen's Award for Voluntary Service that the William Hobbayne Charity received recently.
But after the celebratory biscuits and orange squash were finished, we didn't stand around, oh no! The GoodGym team got to work clearing some land on the adjoining allotments so that two new compost bins could be out in place - well done, team!
