Last Sunday morning, Adam and Ellen ran to the home of Mrs and Mr B, a lovely couple who needed a helping hand with their front garden. Although it was a small plot, and fairly tidy to begin with, they explained that they needed the border doing: weeding, edging and digging over. Mrs B let us know we could find the tools in the garage, and Mr B offered us tea or coffee. But we wanted to crack on with it - it was a fairly balmy day and it was lovely to be outside! Adam took to tidying up the edges of the lawn like a garden pro - straight lines are his forte! Ellen dug weeds and turned over dirt like someone who's done it plenty of times before (I have - in my allotment haha!). Half way through, Mr & Mrs B's son visited and asked us lots of questions about GoodGym. He himself doesn't have the best flexibility to bend and dig, so he really appreciated the help we were giving to his parents. We had a lovely chat with them all, while finishing much welcome glasses of water and squash. And then, before you know it, we were done! We swept up, put the tools away and accepted a few pieces of chocolate for the road - we were off to do another 14+ kilometres so they were needed. A great mission for a lovely couple who obviously needed the help. More of the same please!
