Bordering on perfection part 2!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Cardiff.
- Saturday, 1st of June 2019
Mikey and I ran such a long way to get to Mrs B's house to help out in the front garden. Not to mention an additional 100 yards due to google maps showing the house at the wrong end of the street. But we got there in the end. We met Mrs B and her husband who were waiting for us, tools at the ready. They'd had a visit from GoodGym runners before and knew the score. The task at hand was to tidy up their front garden as neither were up to it. So with spades, forks and an edger, we got to work. This wasnt a monumental task of clearing brambles or cutting back ivy - it was just simple weeding but it still took a while to get the pesky grass and weeds out of the border! They dug, had a rest, dug some more, had a bit if a sit down, then finished digging. It was warm and sunny so Mrs B kindly brought out some thirst quenching squash. Finally it was time to finish up with some edging, to make the lawn look really neat and tidy. Perfection! We cleared up all the weeds and put the tools back, said our goodbyes then off we ran home, each in our own direction. Until the next GoodGym mission!
