Nine good gymers gathered on a beautiful late summer evening to go back to the Transition garden for hedge trimming and bramble cutting. After a couple of laps of Walpole park to warm up, tools were gathered and the group headed over to the garden. The electric hedge trimmer was in action while others did a mixture of trimming, bramble cutting, and raking. A really lovely evening finished with the usual round of photos and selfies.

This task supported

In February 2011, local children planted 21 fruit trees to form a Community Orchard in the overgrown tennis courts in the Lammas Enclosure, between Lammas and Walpole Parks. Volunteers from Ealing Transition have taken on the management of the area and preservation of natural habitats. The residents call on our own GoodGym volunteers from time to time when they have specific tasks that need extra pairs of hands.
