Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Portsmouth runner
A cold start to what turned out to be a glorious day with beautiful blue skies and copious amounts of sunshine. For those lucky enough to be tasked outside, the warmth of the sun on our faces was very welcome. It all seemed to lift everyone spirits, including the vaccinees. No reports of any grumpy behaviour today.
Today’s morning team consisted of Katie, Paul and John. Katie once again took up position in the church and ensured a good flow of vaccines to the back door. Listening to the radio chatter it didn’t sounds as if the waiting room was totally full at any time. Even after a short delay due a medical issue the room was once again clear.
Paul started the morning off inside ensuring everyone made it safely from the treatment rooms to the waiting area/front door. It seemed a shame that for someone who spends so much time outdoors was stuck inside on the beautifully sunny day. Before I had the opportunity to get back inside and rib him about how nice a day it was, Tash had swapped to an outside roll at the back of the church. John was again tasked with car park duties, a role which he really enjoys. The sun made it even more pleasurable today, he’s just hoping not have a white patch were his face mask was.
With the shortened clinic here today it didn’t seem long before the afternoon shift were arriving. This afternoons team comprised of Jo K, Katie L, Louisa, Lucy and Judy. They were soon tested and issued with hi-viz and had gathered by the bike shed. A quick photo opportunity was taken, minus Judy but that’s another story ;-).
