Two goodgymers joined local community members at the Mutton Brook Tiny Forest to do some tree measurements as part of Earthwatch Carbon Week. Trees are carbon sinks, so by measuring the height and girth of selected Tiny Forest trees, we can build a picture of how much carbon the Tiny Forest is capturing. It is a small but meaningful contribution to the riyght against climate change. We managed to measure more than 20 trees while we were there, and some of us found time to do some weeding as well. The weather was fabulous and it was a joy to be outside!
