Report written by Liz Pharoah
On Tuesday 31st August, Five members of GoodGym Coventry set out to litter pick along the banks if the River Sherbourne.
Unfortunately, the route we were taking was a main route into town and as a result was covered in lots of litter. There was especially a lot of litter on Whitley Common- hence the title.
All in all, 4 bags of litter were collected.
For our return to the start, we found the most undulating route to practise our running up hills.
Welcome to the River Sherbourne Valley Living Landscape The scheme aims to reconnect the people of Coventry with the city’s river, restore the river for wildlife and complement the growing City of Culture programme linked to nature.
