Today myself and fellow members of the community met at the local park to start the job on improving its outlook. The task instigators were the Independent Councillors James Giles and Yvonne Tracey alongside Glendale. Once we started, which including a litter pick and cutting the vegetation back to re-establish a clear pathway we made good progress as more and more people came out of the woodwork to help. There must have been 30 people, cutting back, sawing and clearing the paths. Even the local police turned up and got stuck in. It's always amazes me how quickly things are achieved when people come together for a common cause.

The Green Lane Recreation Ground is an expanse of space, home to the Hogsmill River, a chalk river, adding a beautiful energy to this park.
