Three goodgymers ran to Hackney this Saturday to change Ms L's curtains and weed her garden.

Damian & Qiao arrived first & introduced themselves to Ms L and her husband whilst Hazel learnt how to read a map & undid her detour through the streets of Stamford Hill. Ms L explained that the garden needed a bit of a tidy up as some knotweed had started growing and the weeds were taking over a bit. They also had two set of new curtains but weren't able to change them as they couldn't manage the ladders anymore.

We cracked on with the garden first, Qiao pulling up weeds, Damian digging away at the tougher stuff and Hazel chopping back the overgrown areas.

The couple took a particular shine to Damian & asked him to give them a hand with their new Dyson that they were struggling to work. The Dyson was successfully emptied, though even he was stumped with how to put it back together again, resulting in a humorous call to Dyson where the couple attempted explain how much better their old Hoover was!

Garden cleared we turned to putting up the curtains. Hazel & Damian tackled getting the old ones down while Qiao & Ms L out hooks into the new ones. Chatting away, Ms L's husband was fascinated to learn that Damian worked in publishing and took away some contact details, as he's written a book that he'd like published!

After a quick whizz upstairs to change over the 2 curtain we were done, & set off for our respective return runs, satisfied that our mission was accomplished.
