Another Saturday, another bulb planting mission in Penarth. We split into teams this time around, and unlike last week were using an auger drill attachment to go straight through the grass. No turf lifting required.

Today was the day of the Daffodil, as we planted bucket loads to help create a wonderful display for next Spring. I will have to head back over next year for some photos of our handy work in bloom.

We had our usual stop for coffee as the cycle of joy arrived, and even managed to have a look at the patch from last week. It's as if we were never there planting 4 500 bulbs.

Friends of Victoria Square
Improving the open space around the Square for the benefit of the community and wildlife.

We are enabling the community volunteers to create, for the benefit of wildlife, wildflower areas, a bog garden, log piles, plant more trees, deadwood hedges and a create community garden to engage the community and provide a resource for social prescribing.
