Report written by Rosa
10 dedicated Goodgymers braved the rain and cold tonight to join Cody Dock, nice to see both Newham regulars and intrepid visitors from Redbridge (Dharmesh) and Southwark (Laura)! We were continuing the preparations for the winter months with various painting, sanding and oiling activities that are fast becoming Tuesday staples. Happily we had a large shipping container to shelter us from the rain while we worked, masks on and social distancing of course. Graham and Laura made fast work of a cabinet shelf type unit, and Kevin, Sharon, Claudia, Siobhan and Hilary had the delightful task of sanding and oiling two benches. Sadly I was too slow to join the sanding fun, so Paul, Dharmesh and I rearranged assorted planks and wood in order to (nearly) finish painting the floor of the shipping container. After some debate over the colour of the floor - Red or Brown - we eventually realised the paint tin would give us the official answer, 'Tile Red'. Some still weren't convinced so take a look at the photos and decide for yourself... #teamred
Special mention and congratulations to Kevin tonight for an amazing achievement reaching 200 good deeds!! Thanks Kev not just for all the hard work but also the many laughs, GG stories, and of course the party rings and flapjacks!
