Report written by Mark Gilyead (he/him)
I'm not sure if our run pun counts as a pun because it's entirely accurate, but props to Alison for answering the call for something Halloween-related!
Today’s task was supporting the fabulous St Christopher’s Hospice. Teresa runs their shop on the Triangle and is always grateful for our extra pairs of hands to keep the shop ship shape.
Today half of us did the run up the hill and the other half unfortunately missed out and met us at the shop!
We were tasked with different jobs:
💨 Hannah was steaming clothes ready for the rails
🧽 Alison was dusting the cabinets
🌈 Katy was colour-coding the rails
🧹 Clare was vacuuming the carpet
👠 And Cat and I were tagging clothes and whacking 50% discounts on shoes!
All of this helps to keep the shop ticking along nicely (it's quite fancy as charity shops go) and helps Teresa to tie up any loose ends so that customers will enjoy their time in the shop so much that they spend all their money. St Christopher's is one of the leading providers of palliative care in south London so it's great to be able to support them. 💪
After half an hour we called it a day and headed back to base.
Nice work everyone! 😌
