On a cold winter night, the Magnificent Seven helped Mayfield Community Trust volunteers by clearing the footpath. The path is a popular route, so we needed to scrape off the leaves to make sure it wasn't a trip hazard.

Super keen Egg and I arrived early and were stuck in straight away. Soon after everyone arrived and got straight to work. The "pleasant" sound of rakes scraping the gravel could be heard as everyone was hard at work. Luckily for GoodGym, the Mayfield Trust are a very active volunteer group so the path was well maintained and there was little work to do!

After 45 minutes of hard graft (well, just graft) we finished the task and were treated to mince pies with icing...MINCE PIES WITH ICING. Who knew these existed!

Mayfields Public Open Space off of Nelsons Lane is an attractive walking area for locals (with and without dogs!). MCT maintains the area for CYC and recently restored the main path to 2 m width, but now need help to maintain this by removing grass etc encroaching from the path edge before it starts to cause mud accumulation. Goodgym help would be very gratefully received. You can find details by looking at the Mayfields Community Trust web page or Facebook page.
