SESSION ORGANISER
Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Brahma Pochee
Unseasonably warm weather yesterday, closing in on November and we were all wearing t-shirts, well, if you weren't you should've! A long run on the cards plus an offer of free food and drink, with a 9pm cut off, ensured we ran that touch quicker this week. Incentives don't get much better.
So after a quick warm up, we went through a halloween themed "What's the scariest or worst horror film you've seen?" A nice variation of answers that spanned the decades. Paranormal activity, It, Exorcist and The Omen to name a few...might be worth sticking one on this weekend and scaring the bejesus out of yourself? No? Me neither.
After a longer than normal 4.4k run to our task, we had a couple of things to get through. Sticking up some decorations, and building ....a fort!! As per normal we naturally formed into a couple of teams and got to it. A very grateful library manager, Anita, was in awe of your organisation and can-do spirit. 30mins later, decorations were all up, a fort was erected and painted too! I had to usher you guys out of there, as I could see a few perfectionist would've otherwise been there till midnight, shading each brick and painting intricate grain onto the door.
With the clock now ticking on the fabled free drink and food, we bolted it back to base. A very quick stretch and we made it Neighbourhood with 11mins to spare. BOOM. Free mulled and mini burgers were very kindly handed out, we also bought food and drink too, because you know, no one likes a freeloader.
A great effort yesterday team, especially on the 9(ish) kilometers you ran. Each one of those you do makes the next one that touch easier. Fitness is now banked, hopefully you will build on it this weekend? Have a corker, till next week!
