Fun run in the sun (with a bit of litter picking thrown in)
9 GoodGymers made their way 6.2km to help the The Canal and River Trust in Birmingham.

On a very muggy evening, nine Goodgymers came out for a litter pick on our adopted section of the canal. We also gave a big welcome to Liam who joined us for the first time tonight!
We met at 1000 Trades and ran to the start of our adopted section of the canal. Although there was some litter to pick, it wasn't as bad as it has been in the past so was nice that it is being well maintained. Once we reached the end of our section, we continued down the canal picking litter until we dropped off the bags.
After an obligatory group photo, we ran to Millenium Point to do our fitness exercise, which this week was a one mile time trial. Everyone performed really well, especially considering the heat and humidity, with some great efforts put in. Everyone achieved either a personal best or close to their personal best so a big well done to everyone! And we were even asked if we were a part of the Commonwealth Games by a clearly impressed member of the public!
