Catton Parkrun #334. 298 runners. 26 first timers at Catton with no tourists today. The first Goodgym task today walking through the park was to clear up a broken gin bottle (not mine) which some kind sole had smashed on the ground right through the middle of the path which is used twice by the park runners. With the help of Diane, one of the regular Catton runners we collected a bucket from Hayman Lodge and returned to pick up all the pieces, not an easy task but one that was essential. We managed to complete the task in time for start. I was one of the three Funnel Managers today, it’s more difficult than you think making sure everyone stays in the order they cross the line so they collect the right token number. Goodgymers Andy, Bill, and Simon were running today, well done on your PB Simon. No incidents this week thank goodness. Except of course everyone battling the wind! But at least storm Dennis hasn’t arrived yet, although both local Juniors tomorrow have been cancelled. Keep safe everyone 🧡❤
