Never got round to checking the forecast yesterday, a rarity, so was chuffed to see it lash down as I left the gym for Stratford, realising all my clothes were the opposite of waterproof, a walking and talking sponge. We huddled under a fixed umbrella at PrintHouse. There was some discussion around the 10k race on Monday and whether the precipitation would....precipitate a no-show from Rosa. Never in doubt really, she was there, just a few mins behind due to master chef re-runs.
RWQ "What's your current quick and tasty go-to meal?" good to get ideas off each other. A quick paella perhaps, maybe tofu with satay sauce, what about some beans on toast, a quick omelette or a vegan shawarma? That's your meal plan for the next week guys, thank me later.
We set off down The Greenway, courtesy of Hilary's suggestion, the rain stopped and the route was significantly nicer, winning. Got to Abbey Gardens where Paul intercepted us and brought us up to a more effective six. We got stuck into the task, breaking down and moving branches in order to house a new bee hive structure. One saw that was steered ably by Rosa, the rest of us pulled and snapped the branches out the way. There was a clear visual difference when we left and hopefully that space is now more prepared for its new purpose.
Next week we celebrate Kev, as he goes over three hundred deeds, that's quite something right? That's almost every Wednesday in a row... for 6 years, or less years and more missions. Let's doff our caps. Sign up here for Cody Dock and the social after
Till then,
