Find out about GoodGym TaskForce

On a blustery, stormy evening 15 hardy souls ran 4km to give a new lease of life to the picnic benches at St Mary and St Benedict School in Coventry. Now three weeks in, it is great to see familiar faces returning to run from Drapers on a Tuesday evening. This task had special importance to Lillian as she helped source the task and she was wearing her new GoodGym t-shirt.

Having arrived at the school, we were greeted by Pauline, the Headteacher, the team set to work some sanding and varnishing the benches and others tidying up the school field. Thankfully, when the varnishing started, Syed arrived to ensure the finish was top notch and the benches were definitely something to be proud of.

Following the run back to the City Centre, the team then worked hard completing 200m reps, powering away to the very last rep up the slight incline to the finish.

Thanks again all and see you next week :)

On the 16th April, Arabian Bites will be at Drapers again so we will meet after the run to grab a bite of food and / or a drink. It would be great if you could stay and we could have a sociable post-run catch-up.

Wonderful! Liz. You are quicker than BBC. I found the detailed report as soon as arrived at home in next 30 minutes or so. You are great and very motivating. Without you least my run was not possible. Today, I was a bit late and when arrived you guys had already left. I entered in Drapers Kitchen and the staff told me they just left and they only know that ran to the East. I wanted to be clever and ran to the direction they showed me. After few minutes I realised that come on Syed you are always the last in the run and impossible to catch them whereas not actually knowing the destination. Came back to Drapers. Took out my mobile, looked at your last email and found "our next run", quickly looked at the map and start running. Eventually, I could manage to reached the destination. The funny thing as I was on my own one way and run on my own pace. Nobody had to escort me and make them lazy too. Anyway, I was very happy today because I managed to join the group with my patients.

Correction: Please read correctly "patience" and not "patients" thanks.

So glad you made it Syed. It's not the same without you! Well done navigating the streets to find us.
