Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Christmas came early for GoodGym last night as seven festive runners (including one lovely new GGer, Alicia – welcome!) gathered at the Bridge community church in Battersea to put up their Christmas decorations. The centre offers support to the local community, putting on toddler groups, youth and children's clubs and providing help for the elderly.
Dave ran down with his speaker in tow, so the first job was to put on the Christmas songs. Feeling truly festive, we set to it. It was a bit of a busman’s holiday for David (expert light technician) who took on the yards of fairy lights, while Alicia, David and Jordan started work on the tree. Jordan had a very specific and elegant theme which others (no names mentioned….) were not prepared to stick to. The result was a very beautiful tree with one or two particularly colourful patches. Jack and Matthew were in charge of another room, with Jack decorating his very first Christmas tree. It’s a GoodGym Christmas miracle! And you did a beautiful job, Jack.
We’ll be back at the Bridge on the 2nd January for our very first run of the year to take down all the decorations again, and we’ll get a fitness session in too. You can sign up for it already here. Go on, GoodGymers, it’s the perfect way to burn off all that Christmas pud!
