You ask me how did I spend Black Friday night? Shopping, of course! But only for Ms N. Her list brought some custom stuff like Harvest cheese biscuits (no idea what that is - the staff in Co-Op didn't know either!) and Horlicks (yes, I never heard about that before).

While I was scanning the shopping list, Sainsbury's strawberry cheesecake caught my eye. I knew that would be a problem and asked about a suitable alternative. Rasmalai was the answer. I would find it in an Indian shop - but I haven't! The shopkeeper recommended rasgulla and gulab jamun instead. A quick call to Ms N confirmed my suspicion the latter is the winner.

My last stop was Co-Op where I scouted the shelves for anything I hadn't found in Sainsbury's. I located Horlicks, discounted PG Tips and a small wholemeal loaf (no seeds!). No Harvest biscuits, sadly. I rushed to cash-only checkout but let someone go before me while I was doing the final check of the shopping list. That was a mistake. I got stuck in a traffic jam in the queue as the person before me asked for her John Lewis order that was nowhere to be found.

When I got back to Ms N, she expressed her gratitude to all volunteers who come and help with her groceries. She also shared she had a phone call from the "GoodGym's boss" earlier that day. No surprise, she's our regular client! I'm looking forward to another shop for her and hope she will challenge me with some custom orders again!
